HorseMLS.com is a website designed to be a tool for the horse owner, trainer, breeder, and broker to market their horses to the world!  Buyers come to HorseMLS.com to shop the hundreds of horses from dozens of countries in all disciplines.

 

We are also pleased to bring professionally produced sport horse events paired with the latest technology offering an online experience like no other.

 

HorseMLS is the result of many years of listening to our customers, both buyers and sellers  and striving to provide the very best experience in internet marketing of the buying and selling of horses. 

Founder and CEO:  Melanie Peterson 

 

Melanie Peterson has been a professional in the horse industry for over twenty years. An avid competitor and trainer, Melanie has worked for some of the most prestigious farms in the country. Growing up around Wellington, FL, she has been involved with the horse industry there for thirty years. With extensive knowledge in a multitude of disciplines including dressage, hunters, jumpers, saddlebreds, competitive driving, performance mules, western pleasure and performance, and young horse training, she has the ability to relate to anyone in the industry from a personal and business standpoint.

Melanie has a Bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University in Geography. She managed her family's business for five years performing a variety of duties from Office Manager to Web Site Developer, as well as Corporate Officer and heading up the Casino Division of D.P. Vendtronics, Inc. She has operated her own consulting business since 2005 in Palm Beach County, Florida. Now, she is pleased to be a part of the team at Equestrian Sotheby's International Realty in Wellington, FL and Biederman Real Estate in Lexington, KY.

Melanie is very well known in the horse community as she takes a very active role. She is a past member of the Florida Farm Bureau's Young Farmer and Rancher Leadership Group, a state level Equine Advisory Board member, former board member of Palm Beach County Horseman's Association, founder of the South Florida Bridle Club 4-H horse club, former Loxahatchee River Management Coordinating Council member, former Vice-Chair of the Palm Beach County Soil and Water Conservation District and Education Co-Chair of the Association of Florida Conservation Districts.

Recently, Melanie acquired her insurance license and is offering services for liability, major medical, and mortality insurance with Jarvis Insurance Agency.

SFEA, Inc. d/b/a HorseMLS.com is formed under the laws of the State of Florida. "HorseMLS" is NOT an agent, broker, or dealer in horses and does not receive any commission. HorseMLS offers the service of ONLINE CLASSIFIED ADVERTISING for horses for sale, for lease, and at stud.

RELEASE:
HorseMLS acts as a venue for listing horses for sale. We are not involved in the actual transaction between buyers and sellers. Because we are not involved in the actual transaction between buyers and sellers, in the event you have a dispute with one or more users, you release HorseMLS and its owners, agents, subsidiaries and employees from claims, demands and damages (actual or consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.

NO GUARANTEE:
HorseMLS does not guarantee the sale of your horse or your horse's services. HorseMLS does not guarantee the owner/seller's services, representations, or any horse's performance or fitness for a particular purpose. In addition, HorseMLS.com strongly recommends that a pre-purchase exam should be performed by the buyer's equine veterinarian of choice, on any horse prior to purchase. HorseMLS.com does not guarantee or warrant the performance of any person or entity advertising on its site. HorseMLS.com does not control the content posted on the site and, as such, does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such content.

Owners are responsible to proofread listings and confirm that correct photos are appearing on listings.  Owners are responsible for notifying HorseMLS when horses are sold.

Service interruptions are possible. HorseMLS cannot guarantee uninterrupted service due to circumstances beyond our control.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE:
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

EDITORIAL CHANGES:
All advertisement listings are subject to reasonable editorial changes or deletion.

DISALLOWED ADVERTISING:
Slanderous, malicious, warning, or ANY KIND OF DEROGATORY ads are not permitted on HorseMLS. Listings for horses with any kind of ownership dispute are not allowed on HorseMLS. Profanity and harassment are not allowed on HorseMLS.

Listing a horse here indicates full agreement with our Terms of Use.

SOLICITATION AND SPAMMING:

Solicitation or spamming of other HorseMLS users through our site or listings is not allowed. If you send any type of unsolicited email (spam) to other users of our site advertising your own services, your account will be disabled and your listing  will be deleted, your email will be blocked from further listing responses, and you will be marked on our site as a spammer.

If you see a slanderous or malicious listing on our site or receive unsolicited email (spam) from another user such as someone trying to sell you their own services please report the scammer/spammer to us immediately.

YOUR PRIVACY, ETC.:
If you provide personal contact information, HorseMLS is not responsible for any misuse of this information. HorseMLS does not and will never sell or release your email address. 

HorseMLS is not responsible for photos lost or damaged in the mail. HorseMLS is not responsible for typos or accidental errors appearing on listings.  All fees paid are non-refundable. We reserve the right to delete listings for sold horses without notice to seller upon the request of the buyer.

By using this service, all users, sellers, and buyers agree to the above terms entirely.

HorseMLS cannot be held responsible for violations created by its users and/or customers. These violations include, but are not limited to: copyright violation, trademark violations, trade names or patents, or other content which is in violation of any local, state or federal laws.

Our customers are solely responsible for obtaining express permission from professional photographers, subjects, etc. to display images on our site. We will not accept any images labelled "PROOF" for use on our web site. If there is a visible photographer's signature or label on the face of a photo, we will not remove this information from the digital image that we display. If we are informed of copyright violations created by our customers, we will remove disputed images from the site without refund or prior notice to the offender. HorseMLS.com may, in appropriate circumstances and at its own discretion, disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who have infringed on the copyrights of others. If you are a photographer, please be sure to contact your customer directly about their inappropriate use of your photo.

If you believe that your intellectual property has been infringed on our site, please provide HorseMLS.com with the following information:

  • A description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property that you claim has been infringed.
  • The Horse ID  or other location where this property is being displayed.
  • Your name, business name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement by you that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your Notice is accurate and that you are the copyright or intellectual property owner or authorized to act on the copyright or intellectual property owner's behalf.
  • The signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright.
