Some tips when marketing your horse for sale...

1.  Take a very good conformation photo of your horse.  Bathe him, trim and clip him, stand him against a solid background with no occlusions, and emphasize his assets.

2.  Have your horse evaluated by your vet so that you are aware of any and all issues that may arise in a pre-purchase examination with a potential buyer.  A recent, complete set of radiographs always help speed up the pre-purchase process.

3.  Have your horse evaluated by a reputable professional or an equine appraiser to establish its marketable value.  This will save time by ensuring that the appropriate buyers are gaining interest in your horse.

4.  Provide a very good video of your horse doing what you are marketing him as doing.  Make certain that the rider in the video is wearing proper riding attire and the horse is well groomed and tacked.  Keep the length of the video brief, no more than 3 minutes.  Finally, remove the background sound from your video and either leave it quiet or replace with a pleasant tune.

5.  Write a detailed biography of your horse.  Tell potential buyers as much as possible in order to raise interest in your horse, but make certain the information you provide is pertinent to the sale of the horse.
